The Library

The private Library of Lucius and Annemarie Burckhardt-Wackernagel comprises 100 linear metres of books and 34000 digitised slides. In autumn 2022, the collection was transferred from the temporary depot at the University Library of Basel to the Case Studio VOGT in Zurich.

From March 2023, the entire holdings of the reference library in Zurich will be accessible to the public. The collection of Books and images can be researched digitally, and Reading stations will be set up for registered visitors.

Making the library of Lucius and Annemarie Burckhardt-Wackernagel accessible for research is a joint project of the Lucius and Annemarie Burckhardt Foundation, the University Library of Basel and the Case Studio VOGT. The latter has been operating since 2010 as a platform for research and exhibitions at the interface between academia and practice.
